Veem’s FX Pricing Update

Effective April 1, 2026, Veem will introduce a clearer way of displaying foreign exchange (FX) pricing on the platform. This section explains what is changing, why it matters, and how it affects your international payments.

For all payments that require currency conversion, a $5 FX fee will now appear as a separate line item alongside the mid-market exchange rate. This fee is not new. It is currently reflected within the total exchange rate. The update provides clearer visibility into how FX pricing is structured.

For certain tertiary and exotic currencies, pricing will also reflect a higher FX margin due to increased liquidity and processing costs.

There is no change to pricing for major currency corridors beyond the structural update described above.

When Does the $5 Minimum Apply?

The $5 minimum FX fee applies to all transactions involving currency conversion.

For Exotic and Tertiary currency corridors, pricing will also reflect a higher FX margin due to increased liquidity and processing costs.

What is changing in Veem’s FX pricing?

Veem will now display a $5 FX fee as a separate line item alongside the mid-market exchange rate for transactions involving currency conversion.

Is this a new fee?

No. The $5 FX fee is not new. It was previously embedded in the exchange rate and is now being shown separately for transparency.

Why is Veem making this change?

To provide clearer visibility into how foreign exchange pricing is structured and improve pricing transparency.

Does the $5 fee apply to domestic payments in the same currency?

No. It only applies to payments requiring currency conversion.
