[Veem Wallet](https://help.veem.com/veem-wallet?hsLang=en) # How to receive funds in the Veem Wallet ## The Veem Wallet can be used as an alternative receiving account for your transactions, for clients with active and verified Veem accounts. Thus, clients can opt to receive funds directly in their wallets. To achieve this, they must [activate](https://help.veem.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037486234-how-to-activate-the-veem-wallet?hsLang=en) the Veem Wallet first.   Once activated, to receive funds in the Veem Wallet:  **Step 1: **Please begin by navigating to the account settings on the dashboard  **Step 2: **Please go to the ***Get Paid*** tab on the settings page. **Step 3: **Under *Defaults,* locate the *default receiving account* drop-down menu at the bottom of the page, then select *Veem Wallet.* ![mceclip0 (1)](https://help.veem.com/hs-fs/hubfs/mceclip0%20(1).png?width=670&height=319&name=mceclip0%20(1).png) **Step 4: **Once the Veem Wallet is active and set as the default receiving account, new payments are directly deposited into it. ![mceclip1 (1)](https://help.veem.com/hs-fs/hubfs/mceclip1%20(1).png?width=209&height=308&name=mceclip1%20(1).png) That's it. Once funds are deposited in the wallet, clients can choose to use them to [send payment](https://help.veem.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038011513-how-to-send-payments-using-the-veem-wallet?hsLang=en)s to other vendors or [withdraw funds](https://help.veem.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038011233-how-to-withdraw-funds-from-the-veem-wallet?hsLang=en) from their wallet to their bank account.   **NOTE**: Before the payment is sent, the Veem wallet needs to be set as the default receiving account.   Still need help?
