Product updated - August 5th, 2026
This update includes improvements to international payments, Virtual Bank Account applications, payment tracking, developer APIs, and sandbox testing. Highlights include local-network payments to the Dominican Republic, broader tax ID support for payments to Guatemala, clearer payment outcomes, more reliable Virtual Bank Account statements, and added webhook details for developers.
New: Send payments to the Dominican Republic
You can now send payments to the Dominican Republic in Dominican pesos (DOP) through the local payment network. This option is faster than sending by wire and requires less information from your recipient. Sending by wire is still available if you prefer.
For local-network payments, you’ll need to enter bank codes in the recipient’s banking information.
Enhancment: Paying recipients in Guatemala
Payments to individual recipients in Guatemala now accept all valid NIT and CUI tax identification numbers. Previously, some valid numbers could be rejected and prevent a payment from going through.
If a payment to Guatemala was blocked because of the recipient’s tax ID, please try again.
Enhancment: Applying for a Virtual Bank Account
We’ve made two improvements to the Virtual Bank Account application process:
- Your application now moves into review once all required documents are uploaded and your beneficial ownership information is complete, so the status more accurately reflects your progress.
- When choosing currencies, you’ll now only see the currencies available for a Virtual Bank Account.
Enhancment: Finding and tracking your payments
We’ve made several improvements to transaction history:
- You can now filter payments and invoices by a person’s name or business name and get the results you expect.
- Exported transaction files now include a column for the invoice number you entered, making it easier to match transactions to your own records.
- The payment tracker no longer shows a status about payment information being held on file, reducing confusion.
Enhancment: Clearer outcome when accepting a payment
If you’re accepting a payment and the acceptance can’t be completed—for example, if a tax ID can’t be verified—you’ll now be told clearly. Previously, the app could show a confirmation screen even though the acceptance had not gone through, which could make it seem as though the payment had been accepted when it had not.
Enhancment: Business registration documents by country
When we ask for your business registration document, we now tell you which document applies in your country—for example, Articles of Organization in the United States or a Certificate of Incorporation in Canada or India.
This should reduce guesswork and help prevent rejected uploads.
## Now available for partners and developers:
New: Statements for Virtual Bank Accounts through the API
You can now request and download a monthly statement for a Virtual Bank Account through our API by year and month. This is useful when a platform asks you to verify a bank account.
Monthly statement generation is also now reliable for accounts that are already enrolled. Statements that previously failed to generate now arrive on schedule.
New: Funding method included in Virtual Bank Account webhooks
The Virtual Bank Account status webhook now includes the funding method identifier and currency on success, as described in our API documentation. These fields were previously missing from some notifications.
No action is needed. The additional fields are included automatically.
New: Adding a card in the sandbox
Adding a card through the card plugin in our sandbox environment now works. Previously, this could fail with an error and block integration testing.
Please try again if this issue affected your testing.
